02 Our story
A little Peru, in South Brisbane.
Coffee Head Co is built on a love of specialty coffee, a serious obsession with cacao, and the warmth of Peruvian hospitality.
The beginning
It started with cacao.
Long before the doors opened, it was the cacao that hooked us: the ritual of it, the depth of flavour, the way a good cup can slow a morning right down. We set out to build a cafe where cacao sat proudly next to the coffee machine, not as an afterthought.
Today our house cacao is blended in-house and poured all day long, hot or iced, with whatever milk you like.
Sourcing
Local where it counts.
Our toasties are pressed with quality, locally-sourced ingredients: free-range meats and artisan breads. Pastries and cakes arrive fresh each morning from local bakers, with gluten-free and vegan options always in the mix.
Teas are locally handcrafted, and our sticky chai is house-spiced and steeped to order.
The space
Industrial, warm, unhurried.
High ceilings, polished concrete and a relaxed vibe, with a shaded, dog-friendly laneway out the side for when you want to linger. It's the kind of place you come for a quick takeaway and end up staying for one more.
Great coffee, quality cacao, and a welcome that feels like home.
